Treat Severe and Chronic Depression with Ketamine Therapy

Ketamine Therapy

Large numbers of people across America have been diagnosed with severe and chronic depression. These conditions can adversely influence one’s personal and professional lives in a variety of ways. Fortunately, the Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center offers a safe and unique treatment for such afflictions. We invite you to learn more about ketamine therapy and how it may be able to benefit your mental health.

If you have been affected by severe or chronic depression, you are not alone. Millions of men and women suffer from persistent psychological problems and are in dire need of help. Intense depressive feelings on a continuous basis create downward spirals that can be very destructive to relationships and careers. Psychiatric and medical researchers are always looking for new ways to treat severe depression.

Ketamine therapy can greatly reduce the highly negative and often suicidal feelings and tendencies in people with severe and chronic depression. Ketamine doses are given to patients with severe depression on a regular basis under close medical supervision by our medical staff. We advise an initial series of six sessions over two to three weeks, and will help structure a treatment plan that works for you.

We monitor patients who are given ketamine doses very carefully. We rely on truthful feedback from them in order to gauge if ketamine is working to relieve their severe depressive tendencies. The effects of ketamine are produced quickly and many of our patients report feeling a sense of a sigh of relief from their depressing feelings hours after taking ketamine. Some antidepressants can take weeks before patients begin to feel the effects. Sometimes this is just too long, especially for people with severe depression associated with suicidal tendencies or feelings.

It’s important to note that ketamine may not work for everyone. However, medical professionals have been using it for years to treat some of their most depressed patients. We hold thorough  consultations with our clients and assess their psychological state carefully before we decide to provide ketamine as a treatment for chronic and severe depression.

If you sense that you or a loved one could benefit with more information about ketamine therapy, feel free to make an appointment with the Montana Psychiatry & Brain Health Center. We can guide you through this safe and treatment option and help you get back to a place of mental peace. Contact us today to schedule a consultation! Our office is conveniently located in Billings, MT.
