Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in 2017 and began my career as a registered nurse, spending over eight years in diverse psychiatric care settings. My experience includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency care, and working with children, adolescents, and adults in Utah, Montana, and Nebraska. In 2020, I returned to Creighton University to pursue my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a specialization in psychiatric mental health care, graduating in 2025. I am now board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the ANCC.
My clinical expertise includes the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, severe mental illnesses, and trauma-related conditions across the lifespan. I have a strong interest in the connection between sleep and mental health, with my doctoral project focused on improving sleep in adolescents.
I am also experienced in crisis intervention, providing trauma-informed care, and using collaborative, patient-centered approaches such as motivational interviewing to help individuals meet their mental health goals.
I enjoy being surrounded by family and friends, and especially love adventures with my husband and our black lab, Blue. We spend as much time outdoors as possible, whether that’s hiking, skiing, or fly fishing. A weekend camping trip is my favorite way to recharge. I also love cooking and hosting, bringing people together over good food and conversation.
