Psychiatric Physician Assistant
Kristin is a 4th generation Montanan and grew up in Billings. She graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and returned to Billings in 2011. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Kristin worked as a medical assistant at RiverStone Health, where she first learned the vital role that mental wellness plays in physical wellness. She graduated from Rocky Mountain College in 2016 with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She earned her Certificate of Added Qualification in Psychiatry in May of 2018. Prior to joining Montana Psychiatry, she worked with adults and children in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatry settings at Billings Clinic for 3+ years. During her tenure at Billings Clinic, she received advanced training in trauma-informed care and interventions for children with a history of complex trauma. Kristin enjoys getting to know her patients and their families over time. She has a special interest in depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD and eating disorders. She looks forward to working with Dr. Amato to provide her patients with the best possible treatment options for their mental health.
In her free time, Kristin enjoys running, cycling, hiking, cooking and spending time in the mountains with her family and friends.
