She believes that the most effective mental health care is built on a foundation of mutual respect, where every patient feels heard, valued, and empowered in their recovery.

Kayla’s academic journey reflects her commitment to “whole-body” wellness, having earned her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and a Master of Health Science with an emphasis in Public Health from Montana State University. She furthered her clinical expertise by earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College in 2024. This diverse educational background allows her to view psychiatric treatment through both a biological and a community-wide lens.

Kayla Gordon

A Foundation in Medication Management

Before transitioning to her role as a Physician Assistant, Kayla spent five years as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. This extensive experience gave her an elite understanding of pharmacology and medication management—a critical asset in psychiatric care. She utilizes this deep knowledge to help patients navigate complex medication regimens, ensuring that every prescription is optimized for safety, efficacy, and the patient’s specific physiological needs.

Bridging the Gap in Rural Care

Kayla’s transition into psychiatry was inspired by her time in Urgent Care, where she recognized the profound and growing need for accessible mental health services throughout Montana. Her background in Public Health drives her mission to reduce barriers to care, providing a supportive environment for those who have previously struggled to find consistent psychiatric support. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between acute medical needs and long-term psychiatric stability.

A Cherished Montana Lifestyle

As a lifelong Montanan, Kayla is deeply invested in the culture and resilience of the Big Sky State. Her approach to care is grounded in the same values she cherishes in her personal life: community, family, and the outdoors. When she isn’t in the clinic, Kayla can be found embracing the Montana lifestyle—camping, fishing, hiking, and skiing with her husband, their son, and their dog. This connection to the land and her family keeps her energized and focused on providing the best possible care for her neighbors.
