Hilary Nelson, PA-C was born and raised in Helena, Montana. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA before moving back to Montana in 2015. Prior to starting PA school, she worked as a medical assistant in Family Practice for three years, where she first learned the critical role that mental health plays in one’s overall well-being. In August of 2021, she received her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. Hilary was first introduced to Montana Psychiatry and Brain Health Center while completing her psychiatric clinical training as part of her PA program. She is excited to be joining the team at Montana Psychiatry and is grateful for the opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of those struggling with their mental health.
Outside of the clinic, Hilary enjoys staying active and can often be found hiking, skiing, or trail running with her dog, Fin.
