Brandy Lundby is a highly credentialed clinician dedicated to a holistic, person-centered approach to mental health and recovery. With advanced degrees in both Clinical Psychology and Social Work, Brandy brings a multifaceted perspective to the team at Montana Psychiatry. She believes that true wellness is achieved by looking beyond symptoms to understand the unique intersection of a person’s environment, history, and innate strengths.
Brandy earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Capella University, specializing in Applied Research and Forensic Psychology, and recently completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Denver with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma. Her diverse academic background allows her to bridge the gap between rigorous psychological research and compassionate, trauma-informed clinical practice.
Before joining Montana Psychiatry, Brandy served on the Programs of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team, providing intensive therapy for individuals facing severe mental illness, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and complex trauma. This experience in high-acuity settings has made her a specialist in fostering resilience. Today, she utilizes a "toolkit" of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, and EMDR, to empower her patients on their unique journeys toward lasting recovery.
Brandy’s clinical philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual is the expert on their own life. By employing Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and trauma-informed care, she creates a safe, collaborative space where patients can address the root causes of distress. Her dual licensure as an Addictions Counselor (LAC) further allows her to provide integrated support for those navigating the complexities of co-occurring disorders and substance use.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Brandy brings a unique level of discipline and creativity to her work. An accomplished musician, she holds a BA in Music Performance and has performed the French Horn with the Symphony of Southeast Texas. This background in high-level performance informs her focused, harmonious approach to patient care. When she isn’t in the clinic, Brandy enjoys the Montana outdoors on her ATV, camping, or finding balance through reading and knitting.
