Brenna Cobb,
MPAS, PA-C

Mental Health Physician Assistant

Brenna is a highly skilled Physician Assistant who brings a unique, multidisciplinary perspective to Montana Psychiatry. A Great Falls native, her career has been defined by a relentless pursuit of clinical excellence—from the front lines of respiratory therapy during the pandemic to advanced psychiatric care. Brenna believes that mental health is the silent engine of physical recovery, and she is dedicated to providing the Billings community with a supportive, science-driven path to wellness.

Brenna earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College after a distinguished six-year career as a Respiratory Therapist in advanced ICU settings across the country. Her journey through the intensive care units of Billings, New Orleans, and Denver gave her a profound understanding of human physiology, which she now applies to the complexities of the brain. Today, she combines this “whole-body” medical foundation with a specialized focus on interventional psychiatry.

Brenna Cobb

A Foundation in Critical Care

Brenna’s background in Adult Critical Care Services provides her with a clinical edge in managing complex patient needs. Having worked full-time in hospital medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic, she developed a "patient-first" resilience and a deep empathy for those facing life-altering health challenges. This experience taught her that true healing requires addressing the mind and body as one, a philosophy that guides every treatment plan she creates.

Expertise in Addiction & Recovery

Before joining Montana Psychiatry, Brenna specialized in Addiction Medicine at an inpatient treatment facility. This experience highlighted the immense need for accessible, long-term psychiatric support in rural Montana. By understanding how intertwined substance use and mental health truly are, she offers a non-judgmental, evidence-based approach to recovery, ensuring her patients have the tools to break cycles and achieve lasting stability.

Innovation & Montana Advocacy

Driven by a passion for the latest medical advancements, Brenna is currently focusing her expertise on Ketamine and TMS therapy. She is committed to staying at the forefront of the field and is on track to earn her Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry within the next year. When she isn’t advancing her clinical skills, Brenna enjoys the Montana outdoors with her husband and their three pets, or traveling the world to experience new cultures and cuisines.
