Carly Kyte is a dedicated Physician Assistant who combines a deep understanding of biological science with a passion for community-based health. Originally from New York, Carly moved to Montana to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA, where she focused on the social determinants of health in rural settings. This experience shaped her “whole-person” approach, ensuring that every patient at Montana Psychiatry receives care that considers not just their symptoms, but their entire environment and lifestyle.
Carly earned her degree in Human Biology with an emphasis in Chemistry and Biological Ethics from the University of Albany before graduating with her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College. Her clinical focus was cemented during an intensive behavioral health rotation where she specialized in cutting-edge interventional therapies. Today, she is a CAQ-certified specialist, a distinction that marks her as an expert in advanced psychiatric care and clinical excellence.
Carly is at the forefront of the latest advancements in mental health treatment. Her academic work culminated in a capstone thesis specifically focused on Major Depressive Disorder and the mechanisms of Ketamine. This deep dive into neurobiology allows her to provide expert care in TMS and Ketamine therapy, offering patients evidence-based alternatives to traditional treatments with a focus on stimulating long-term neuroplasticity and healing.
Having worked with the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, Carly has a unique perspective on the challenges of rural healthcare. She spent years identifying barriers to care and helping Carbon County residents access vital resources. At Montana Psychiatry, she applies this same advocacy to her patients, working tirelessly to increase accessibility to high-quality mental health programs and ensuring that every individual has the support they need to succeed.
With a background in Biological Ethics, Carly approaches psychiatric care with a profound respect for patient autonomy and integrity. She believes that modern psychiatry should be transparent, science-driven, and deeply compassionate. By joining the Montana Psychiatry team in 2022, she has dedicated her career to providing the Billings community with a thoughtful blend of advanced medicine and ethically grounded, patient-first care.
