An Unconventional Path to Psychiatry

Dr. Solomon's road to medicine wasn't a straight line. After studying Chemistry and Computer Science in Nebraska, he spent time in the pharmaceutical industry and served in the US Army Reserves before deciding to pursue medical school. That varied background gives him a distinct, well-rounded perspective on patient care that goes beyond a traditional clinical path.

A Career Built on Service

Following his training, Dr. Solomon served active duty in the US Air Force as a psychiatrist, stationed at Minot Air Force Base. Throughout his career, he has developed particular expertise in substance use treatment and disaster mental health, and has served as Medical Director at two separate clinics, reflecting his ongoing commitment to leadership and access to care.

A Focus on Children and Complex Care

Dr. Solomon accepts patients as young as two years old and finds particular fulfillment in treating children and adolescents. He has special interest in psychosis, bipolar disorder, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental disorders, in addition to the full range of psychiatric care including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and eating disorders. He practices in an LGBTQ-inclusive manner consistent with his board-certifying academies.
