Teague McChesney, PCLC

Provisional Candidate for Licensed Counselor

Teague is a dedicated mental health professional who brings a fresh, evidence-based perspective to the clinical team at Montana Psychiatry. As a Provisional Candidate, Teague works with a spirit of constant discovery, ensuring that every patient receives care that is both compassionate and grounded in the latest psychological research.

Teague earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Psychology from MSU-Billings, a trajectory that provided a robust foundation in clinical theory and diagnostic precision. By staying local for their education, Teague has developed a specialized understanding of the unique mental health landscapes facing Montanans, from rural access challenges to the importance of community-based resilience.

Teague McChesney

A Foundation in Psychological Science

With an advanced degree in Clinical Psychology, Teague’s approach is defined by a commitment to scientific rigor. Their graduate studies focused on the intersection of cognitive processes and emotional wellness, allowing them to help patients navigate everything from daily stressors to complex behavioral patterns. At Montana Psychiatry, Teague utilizes this academic background to provide high-quality, supportive care that empowers patients to reclaim their mental clarity and purpose.

Collaborative Clinical Growth

Teague thrives in the highly collaborative environment of Montana Psychiatry. By working alongside a multidisciplinary team of MDs, PAs, and specialized Nurse Practitioners, Teague ensures that their patients benefit from a "360-degree" view of mental health. This team-based approach allows Teague to integrate various therapeutic insights into a single, cohesive treatment plan, providing a level of comprehensive support that is rare in solo practices.

A Legacy of Montana Discovery

Teague’s connection to the region is literally historic. As a direct descendant of William Clark from the 1804–1806 Lewis and Clark Expedition, Teague shares a deep-rooted bond with the landscape and history of Montana. This legacy of exploration and discovery translates into a clinical practice that isn't afraid to navigate new paths to healing. When not in the clinic, Teague continues this tradition of discovery by exploring the local trails and heritage that have defined their family for generations.
